Of the other medications she needs, this one is the easiest for both her and the humans. The family now calls these Panky Plus Pills. She’s gained weight and has much better stool. (She’s allergic to chicken, so pill pockets were a no-go!) She may get fussy later on and need a piller, but this is working out well for her now. I think she now associates this with feeling better because we don’t even struggle to get it into her-she eats it right out of our hands like a treat. It took some getting used to, but after pilling her for a few months, she’s used to it. Fortunately for our wallets, she eventually grew tired of it. Both methods ended up getting very expensive since she needs it at least twice a day. We were then eventually able to just feed spiked Churu treats in a bowl with food. We initially had some success mixing in Churu treats and syringing it into her mouth after eating. We had a heck of a time trying to sneak it into her food at first. ![]() We initially tried the vet-preferred powder since it’s ideally consumed on food. She was diagnosed with IBD, EPI, and a poultry allergy this summer. One of my cats, Penny Lane, has had a heck of a year.
